Hi Everyone,
Merry Christmas from Silver Star!
Being a day off from training most took advantage of a sleep in. Everyone got a wake up call just after 9.00am to head down for a steaming hot cooked breakfast prepared by Emma. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hash-browns, baked beans and grilled tomatoes greeted everyone – let the feast begin. To check out today’s menu CLICK HERE.
Today is obviously a free day so everyone kicked back and relaxed after breakfast. Some went back to bed, some did their washing, while some relaxed on the couch and watched a movie while the smart ones even went out for a few runs.
Lunch was a very light one with Nachos and soup on the menu. There needs to be plenty of room for the feast planned for this evening. After lunch some headed out again for another few runs to enjoy some free time on snow without the coaches.
Well that’s about it for this installment, check back later tonight (after 6.00pm Australian time) for an update on tonight’s Christmas Dinner including the giving out of the KK presents. We’ll have all the pics and some movies for you as well.

| AWSC Weekly Awards |

The Bolle Big Break Award is awarded by the coaches to the athlete who has made the most improvement over the past week. This week it was awarded to Jamie Callis.

The Helly Hansen Encouragement Award is awarded by the coaches to the skier and snowboarder who has contributed the most effort and tried the hardest over the past week. This week it was awarded to Kate Scott and Amy Wilson. |
|
This year we will also have the XTM training eXcellence award which will be awarded on a weekly basis. This week it was awarded to Kane Trubenbacher. |

Pinky goes to Laura Bassett today. After freezing in her jeans all last night when the kids went tubing, they were told to wear ski gear then tonight she took of to ice skating in here jeans again. Some people just don’t learn. |
